This was a great game last season, Aston Villa played 5 at the back yet somehow won the game 3-1. Can we see a repeat this weekend? I highly doubt it. Liverpool are in phenomenal form. If our defence can stop Saurez and Sturridge then we may have a chance, but that is much easier said then done!
4-0 to the scousers i still have no faith despite the 2 new aquisitions.
I certainly hope Bertrand does start, he has to be at least as good as what we already have at LB.
I can’t see past Pool getting goals with our defence, but they have problems at the back too so reckon we’ll get one.

but villa strengths are sitting back allowing teams 2 attack while hitting fast counters, the arrival of holt upsets this tactic as he lacks pace so be interesting 2 see the line up ~

I can see the back five being Lowton Vlaar Clark Bertrand and Luna. Luna ain’t bad at getting forward (and aside from only having one left foot, nor was Bennett). Hopefully this time Lambert brings on Wiemann earlier, he has the pace to annoy the crap out of Liverpool’s defence even if he isn’t scoring anything at the moment. My predictions are always so far out I’m not going to bother! If you look at the two Arsenal goals both came from mistakes in midfield once we’d moved to four at the back. Five at the back does work plus the assist at Arsenal came from a Lowton cross, so I’d be looking at Lowton and Luna getting forward. If Liverpool start with the bitey racist on his own up front the three defenders should be able to try to keep him quiet. At least quieter than usual. Possibly.
I must say I do like the idea of Bacuna as AM.

reckon sturridge and suarez will start today, not only did they both score last week when on the pitch together they both set each other up for a goal each, knowing we’ll go strong and numbers at the back rogers will go with both of em im sure.
concerns once more about a pasting and it wouldn’t surprise me.
our performance in the arsenal game was dire up until the goal when we started to put some effort and belief into the game hopefully the team that finished the last 15 mins on Monday will be playing, not the team that played the 1st half.
can only see a Liverpool win here, as with the arsenal game just hope it isn’t a landslide.
