Leeds 1 – 1 Villa; 2 points dropped?

It’s only immediate thoughts, but I’m reasonably happy with the result.
I believe we were the better team overall, even though we had a poor first half.

We dominated the second half and if it wasn’t for some very poor defending by Samba, we’d have won this.

What disappointed me most, was the fact that some on here were convinced that we were going to be thrashed.
With even a 3-0 predicted, at one point.
Who needs supporters, when that’s how they think?

Jeez, I don’t expect us to win every game, but my opinion is that we could and should have won today.
And to see so called fans expect us to get battered just makes me wonder what we have to do.

I said that if we won this, someone was going to get both barrels for being so negative.

Sadly we didn’t, because Samba is rubbish at defending.

But we should have won, if you actually look at the game.
Hence I believe that’s 2 points dropped.

No doubt some will say I’m talking out of my proverbial.
But I’ll bet we’ll finish higher than leeds.

And if we do, we won’t be far away.

Unfortunately, I suspect that result might prove really costly at the end of the season.
We need to be winning this sort of game if we’re going up.

Speaking of gabby he has trained all week, as has Hogan and Jedinak back in training today with JT hopefully back in a fortnight. Good times.

Good news that, with the weather about to change we might be in for postponed games, i don’t think most will want that but its looking like that might happen. Games get called off over terraces and safety problems, i hope the game on tomorrow.

Must say that Bruce’s press conference with young Carter was magical.

So Villa win 2-0 then (straight out of our assistant manager’s mouth)

What’s going on with us? It looked as if we through the book away on football and just kicked the ball on a football pitch. We won’t be going up playing like that, if we did we would come down again very quickly.

Next 5 games will define our season. Five tough fixtures. 4 of them against teams in the top 8 places plus Brentford. Will reserve judgement until after these games out of the way. Long way to go yet and a lot can happen from now till new years day.

Cut the gap to second 2 points, 11 points from last 5games since Terry injured. Over 2 per game. We’ll still go up automatically.

Gap to second down to 6 I mean. Reading can beat Cardiff.
