Adam where on earth did you get that from ? Probably James Nursey from the mirror Lamberts pr man , not a chance on this earth will villa spend anywhere near that sort of money , Lerner wouldn’t sanction it & I wouldn’t want Lambert to spend it ! Lambert will be sacked !
As for the successfull signings the jury is still out on okore and Kozak … Really ?

It was reported that the majority of that cash will be used to sign new players.

Was it? Where was that I must have missed it.

Telegraph – “his funds this summer will be boosted by a minimum £63 million from the new television deal”.

And what exactly does ‘Boosted’ mean? £50m or £5m?
All just a little too ambiguous in my opinion.

BWS there is more chance of knitting fog than us spending 60m. 10m tops and that’s it mate

no way will Lerner spend £60 + million ,we will be lucky if he spends £10 million thats the hard truth….the club say this shit each year.

Agree wittonryan there’s more chance of us winning the league next season than Lerner spending 60m. Whenever it’s the end if season and the club want st sakes they will put out loads of stuff in the press that is bollox. Like pretending we will spend 60m and messi wasn’t to come to villa. Can u see that flying pig

Does this also mean he will be increasing the wage cap so we’ll start attracting quality players or did they forget to add this bollox to the statement.

What’s more likely to happen is Lerner will use majority of that 60m to offset his losses in previous years, reduce the debt of the club (as per removal of loan earlier this year) and flog the club for whatever he can get for it. Lambert’s gone – 3 seasons in relegation battle and talk of offering a new deal? Yeah right – he’s gone.

The Tructh is that even if the manager does have £60 million to spend in the summer if the wage cap is still in place you are still only in teh market for players who demand a wage way below what top players do which means you are buying Championship players. As the old saying goes if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Somehow they need to find a way of paying competitive wages again. This would also open the door to quality loan signing rather than the likes of Grant Holte

that is a first, a guy wanting to recover his money. if i was lerner. i would say here you go. have the rest of my money. we have got of lightly, hull tigers, bluenoses owner is in shawshank, leeds are owned by the mafia, wot do we have a guy who splashed loads of HIS cash, decided the running cost were spiraling out of control. has acted upon this.

lamberk has been the fall guy for the cuts, he hasn’t had the same help as mcliesh or houllier and definitely mon. all spent the cash, can’t we wait until season over before kicking off.

maybe being relegated will be a good thing lerner will take a reduced price and villa may get a decent owner. allow cowans to bring through the youth . wage buget is championship as you all say. or we can get behind um from here in and see wot happens.

I read it as the £63m is going to pay for Vlaar and Delphs contracts and any remaining money will come from player sales….. As we have bugger all we can sell looks like it may just be a quiet Summer.

IMHO the jury is still out on Lambert. You can look at it two ways (at least his stint at Villa):

    1. He’s complete shite. Get rid of him.

    or

    2. He’s been shite, but was given nothing to spend, and has unearthed some talents like Benteke and Vlaar. He’s done okay with the mess of a team/contracts left to him by McLeish.

Which is it? Without any serious investment we’ll never know. Half of the big name managers don’t even have to manage because they have a fully loaded team of great players each season. Lambert hasn’t had that in his career yet.

Do any of you actually think we’ll land a big name manager with an owner not spending money? You don’t see Mourinho going to Wigan do you? It’s a complete farce.

Just wandered how that is possible from another continent.

      Seriously Steve?

CCTV over the internet is very basic stuff these days.
And I think even a tight bastard like Lerner would be willing to pay for a decent broadband connection.

He could have cameras anywhere you might be able to think of.
Which would beg the question “why didn’t he see for himself what was going on?”

If indeed he gives a toss.

Just seen this on social media. Shocking mate. Fair play to gabby n delph. The story re the fulham game was: Culverhouse was having a go at robinson, cowans went over to try sort it out n tell Culverhouse to leave him alone, Culverhouse went for cowans, gabby n delph went over to Culverhouse to sort him outx then apparently theyve got ‘niggles and flu’ Before the fulham game. Load of bolox. Needs a big clear out else there wont be no improvement. Lerner out faulkner out lambert out
