I don’t believe it! or do I?; It’s inferred that Grealish crashes a car

It at least seems that Jack Grealish was at the scene of a car accident in Solihull this morning.
Whether he was actually involved is debatable, but it would seem he was at some sort of party just hours after posting about the Corona thing and staying safe.
I’m not convinced the article is wholly accurate, as the damage seems mostly superficial, whereas the article references “a series of almighty collisions which reverberated through the flats”.
That’s an exaggeration to say the least, I reckon.

But even if he wasn’t involved, it’s incredibly dissappointing if he was at a party with Corona as it is.
You’d have to suspect that if there’s any truth in this, he’ll have blown any chance he ever had of playing for England, as he’s backed up his reputation of being a liability.

There are quite a few other sources that seem to be playing the incident down, if only slightly, but it seems that no-one can contact him.

I do wonder if the Sun article is pretty close to the mark?
Have a look for yourself;

Just what we need at the moment – it seems to me that the essence of the story is true even if there’s a large amount of hyperbole attached. It doesn’t matter whether it’s ‘minor’ or not it’s an embarrassment and hardly the act of a ‘responsible adult’. You might guess that McCormack’s involved – been nothing but a nightmare since he came to Villa.

So, what’s the positive – no one will touch Grealish with a barge pole (frankly I couldn’t care a toss whether he plays for England) so he’s going nowhere and the negative – we just lost £50m.

If the police get involved he may end up in serious trouble – leaving the scene of an accident even though it seems he left his details?

    Stay home – keep safe.

I’d agree that the essence is true.
I also noted that Jack hasn’t denied being the driver, which then leads me to ask myself if he was possibly under the influence?

I believe that if no-one is injured all the law says is that details must be exchanged, which he did. Hence it’s not leaving the scene of an accident as such, imo.
(I had this happen to me, where a foreigner refused to give me his details and just drove off. The police didn’t even charge him, even though I reported it to them.)

As for no-one wanting him, I wouldn’t be so sure. Money, hence results talk for the top prem clubs and Grealish is a good player.
I definitely doubt the FA will touch him for England though. It would just send the wrong signals.
And that’s a shame, as I’d love to see him pulling the strings for an England side.

Club have fined him (money going to Birmingham Hospitals Charity) and he’s pretty much admitted it.

We all do stupid things but when you’re in a position of responsibility in today’s era of social media it’s something he really can’t afford to do. I hear what you say Badger but ‘bad boy’ reputations can easily destroy a career.

Out of the Villa squad, who else would be stupid enough to cause embarrassment to the club? Considering he was promoted to captain by Smith, he needs to be stripped of that role as well as the fine. Obviously the club have put Grealish’s fine to Birmingham hospital to dampen the flames but his reputation has been tarnished again. I don’t think this will put off potential suitors although it might lower the fee. Assuming we get relegated, clubs will know that we will have to sell our best players and this adds to the ammunition to play hardball.

Jack’s problem is who he his, recognisable wherever he goes, Ok big mistake thinking I’m going to see my mate and hits two cars in going home. But to give who he is got to spell problems. Had it been me and thinking the law will want tests I know I’m in the mire.did the right thing in giving his particulars and go home. A phone call could have helped him only if they was Villa people and not other fans , wrong I know but nobody got hurt and we all make mistakes in life, he was a silly sod and with what’s going on with this Virus defiantly in the wrong. He’s a young idiot having to learn the hard way, he wants to get wise in life and quickly.

He seems totally ratarsed. Silly boy, but worse things happen. He’s made a twat out of himself and has to live with the embarrassment. Remember Ashley Young webcam incident? That was much more serious and he had a very successful career following him joining Utd. I’d rather be caught driving pissed than on the front page waving me winkle about!

Jacks acted like a prat, been truly caught out and embarrassed our great club…….. But it makes me more angry is how f!!cking hypocritical our press and media can be – they were only telling everyone to “be kind” a few weeks ago, now another young kid messes up and they are trying to destroy them..

Couldn’t get through to actually speak to anyone – well not without waiting for eternity – so tried to cancel my sports package on line and was given a different number to ring.

It seems they are automatically suspending the sports package subscription – but only if you request it! Surely they should be doing that without having to ask as it seems I will still be able to access the channels – we’ll see.

When this calms down and I can speak to someone still going to cancel – maybe they will offer me a deal?

I cancelled my Sky subscription for TV in it’s entirety several weeks ago when they put up the prices. It’s just a few quid here and there but it all mounts up. They also exploit a loophole in regards to annual price rises when your on a contract.
    Scum of a company.
As soon as Corona is over, I’m cancelling my fibre broadband too. £8 a month cheaper for the same thing through the Post Office.

I have Virgin TV, broadband and phone, mainly because they were the only option for decent broadband. I had Sky sports but cancelled it when it was obvious there wasn’t going to be any live sports for a long time. I negotiated my deal for phone, 100mb broadband and TV excluding sports and movies for £65 per month. Funny thing is we are still getting Sky sports and BT sports. Don’t know whether that will disappear at some point!
On a different note, should Villa players and other premier league players offer to have reduced wages like Small Heath and Leeds etc. (fair play to them)
It’s disgusting that the likes of Spurs, Newcastle and Norwich are taking advantage of the government 80% grant to pay non playing staff while the already overpaid players still get 100%!

Holte, I was paying £38 a month for what you have. Was still too much for very little on Sky.

Now TV have put their prices up significantly too… Another Sky company.
