Well I could speak about today’s game but what is the point ?
When an owner restricts a manager to such low wage levels what do you expect ?
I guess for some it is easy to scream and shout Lambert out, that’s the cop out for any fan including those who supported Lambert’s appointment. Nah the difficult one is to ask for Lerner to go isn’t it ?
The owner always has the cop out for them and that is the mug who is the manager. Under Ellis we had many of them and now we see the same. We hear Lambert has spent £40M but what is the point if you are restricted to championship level of wages ?
So lets sack Lambert and you really trust Lerner to pick a decent manager given his track record ?

An ex villa player from the 80s who still works at the club told me Barry wanted to come to us. His agent contacted lambert and lambert dismissed it straight away. That’s why I know for a fact as this player is a def itk. I only see him occasionally but will certainly ask him again to confirm.
Its not too late mate. He is on a season long loan…but he can still be sold on a permanent bsis under the rules…and Martinez said on sky sports that they will NOT be offering him a permanent deal!
Martinez said that he wouldn’t pressure Barry for a decision until the end of the season. I can’t for the life of me see why Barry would come to us now when he is playing in a decent Everton team. It’s like we’d pay him more either. Also lamberk did not want him in the summer.
Problem is it’s too late now he’s gone to Everton and is probably happy there plus there is a 50.50 chance they will get CL. Though I personally think they will fall down to around 6-7th. Can’t see them sustaining it esp after losing to Sunderland

I’m not convinced whether it’s entirely down to Lerner or down to the fact that Barry might be too big a player for Lambert to handle.

Surely the wages will be offset by all the other deadwood we got rid of?
Not forgetting that Barry can play in 2 or 3 positions…….surely that is worth it. Not to mention the great example he will set for the youngsters to follow both on and off the field. Offer him a position with the academy when his 18 months are up. What a great mentor he would be.

As much as I’m not a Lambert fan I still feel it’s Lerner that has to go first, his heart has never really been in it and we’ve gone so far back we need to spend at least 80 mil on quality to become a potentially challenging side.it won’t happen with Lerner fact.
