Nicklas Helenius will stay at Villa Park amid quotes from his agents that claimed he could go out on loan. Following the arrival of Holt, Helenius has fallen down the pecking order yet again but Lambert claims that Helenius will learn a lot from the experienced Holt.
Lambert has said that Helenius has been doing well in training, barely ever misses the target but believes he isn’t strong enough for the Premier League. He hope that Helenius could learn from the likes of Holt and Benteke how to become a better target man.
When asked if Helenius could possibly go out on loan?
“Not at the minute, no.
“He’s not frustrated, that’s one thing Nicklas is not. If you watch Helenius finish in training he very rarely misses the target. He’s a young guy and he’s learning.
“Holty will bring experience. He’s streetwise. He’ll get you free-kicks where maybe a younger player might not be able to do that for you.
“When Nicklas starts to get the physical side of it then he’ll handle it, I’ve got no worries about that. Holt’s got the experience of it and he knows how to use his body.”
His team-mates believe in him though, Vlaar has also spoken out about the talents that young Helenius possess:
“When he scored his first competitive goal for the club everyone was really happy for him,” said Vlaar.
“Although he hasn’t had much match action, Nicklas has worked really hard to become a stronger, better footballer and that excellent strike will give him enormous confidence. – Ron Vlaar
Helenius is rated highly by fans but it appears as though Lambert doesn’t believe he is strong enough for the League. He may not be as strong as Benteke or Holt but that’s because he isn’t really a target man. I remember so people on this site saying that Helenius wouldn’t be a very bad number 10, at least temporarily. He has a good eye, good vision of the field and has the best technical ability from all out forwards. His goal against Sheffield United was taken well and I hope he’ll take more of his chances in the future. But it appears as though Helenius’s breakthrough season will come next season.
Whats all this Manure talk on here. Fuck off back to your own site!
I dont care about Man U
They dont care about me
All I care about is AVFC
Fuck off Lerner and Red Bull and any twat who wants to change our name, ground or colours…just fuck off, the Villa is OURS
That poem was going pretty well but lost its way at about the fuck off lerner bit.
Lol..just waiting for the cooking sherry to kick in 🙂
Its pretty clear that Hoolahan will be joining us soon. Just waiting for the petty boardroom squabbles to be resolved IMO
Money talks and all that Langford, the offers right and he’ll be down VP soon enough.
If Hutton goes we may see a Defour type player but I doubt any one would seriously want that pile of money draining shit at their club. So it will be Hoolahan and that’s it I reckon. Links to Kakuta on loan, quick player with bags of skill but hasn’t set the prem on fire maybe he isn’t suited to the league or maybe we could get the best out of him. Would just be another loan to help Chelsea though at the end of the day.
ITK…Hoolahan seen flat hunting in Alum Rock Road last night. Rumours suggest he would be happy if he could purchase a property with panaramic views of Saltley Gasworks and close to the inner circle 8 bus route with easy access to the world famous night life of Bordesley Green!
Villa and Norwich are both in a relegation battle. If i was Norwich i would string villa along re: Hoolahan up until the last minute on deadline day and then say NO. So don’t put all your eggs in one basket Mr Lambert.
This hoolahan thing is a joke! Norwich don’t wanna sell him so just move the Fuck on! Its not like he is a world class talent we are gonna miss out on Lambert ffs! Its obvious we are shopping in the bargain basement again wes is the best we can get for a million, fuckin ridiculous spend 5 mill and get a half decent player with more than 2 years of his career left! But of coarse he wants to come to villa cause he is 31 and we will give him a 5 year deal on 40k a week or some shit
We are apparently in talks with Barca to sign Dongou on loan – He’s meant to be class according to my barca fan mate. If we can pull that off……!!!!!
Lambert’s going 4-1-5 or 4-0-6.
Supposedly something like a young Eto’o. Be brilliant if we can pull that off and something about forming a partnership with them I guess is what I’ve read too.
He won’t be coming to us then
A young Eto coming to the Villa, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha aha ha aha aha ha aha – we are also the 12th biggest supported club in China, in a season of transition and my Mum is Marilyn Monroe …… Onwards and upwards, you couldn’t fault the lads, whoever was unplayable yawn yawn yawn yawn… don’t believe any of this shite until whoever is in a Villa shirt…… Our club couldn’t tell the truth if their premiership survival depended on it and 99% of these rumours come from them !!
Is your mum really Marilyn Munroe 🙂
Yep, the Villa told me so……………Before renewing my season ticket !
Yes, it’s clearly obvious it won’t happen. I mean a young player going out on loan to get experience at a big club in a big league… Never happens… OH WAIT.
Who wants another loan deal ffs.
Are we are about to change our home stadium name from Villa Park to Loans are us…… what the fuck happened to building for the future !
Lol good one. Sad but true
So NOW we’re looking at a loan player from outside the Country that won’t help build up for a Sky 4 team, and we’re complaining despite him being better than our current strikers, maybe bar Benteke. Fascinating. Didn’t realize however 3 loans made us Loans are us… When better teams, like Everton, have 3 loans. 😉
Andrew loans are a stop gap that go totally against everything the club has told us we are about…. it is the utter bullshit we have been given over the last few years about young and hungry/building for the future etc etc that gets a lot of us annoyed….I would welcome Jean-Marie Dongou with open arms, but don’t forget Faulkner will be doing the negotiating so don’t hold your breath.
You’re right, you’re right and I agree. However the 3 loan signings I don’t get the problems with. We needed a LB, and while I might be wrong, I still don’t think Bertrand’s all that great. We needed a replacement for Kozak and why sign a striker permanently when we have a few and Holt could prove decent. Dongou will not only improve us immensely, but seems Villa are hoping for some kind of partnership with Barcelona. If we got first dibs on their incredible academy on loan, even if we were a title challenging team, I’d take that in a heartbeat.
I’m not sure loan deals smack of short termism and small club mentality. What’s the point in having a loan player to knock of the rough edges for the big clubs. It means that these clubs get even bigger and better squads as they can keep them all happy by loaning them out. It’s all wrong especially loaning from the same division.
