Everton 3 Villa 0-This Can’t Continue

Ok I never saw the game but know people that have. Apparently we were never in it and Everton strolled to a 3.0 win with the minimum of fuss.

It’s not the fact we lost that hurts it’s the way we lost. Again there was no passion, no fight and no heart. It seems the Roy Keane factor is a myth and the guy seems to be more interested in promoting his book than promoting us to a higher level.

So far we have only scored 4 goals in 8 games with a minus 8 GD already. This is not good enough as we barely have had any shots on target all season. The early wins papered over the cracks and we are now back where we belong just 2 points from the bottom 3.

When Mcleish was here the consensus was that we want to play entertaining football especially at home. Well fwiw I think we have played more anti football under Lambert than Mcleish. Tactically the guy is clueless, he has no charisma and is a John Major type of manager Grey and dull.

Yes we have had injuries but lets face facts most of our players are a much of a muchness with the exception of Benteke. Whatever 11 we pick is as good as any random 11 that has been picked before.

To add insult to injury Lerner has took the proverbial and extended Lambert’s contract which effectively makes him un-sackable.

This cannot continue there is no hope with this club why Lerner and Lambert are here unfortunately this anti football and just treading water could be here for years to come assuming we stay up.

Nath if that’s the case mate why didn’t Fox offer a 1 yr roll on contact to him so if things don’t work out it would be cheaper to fuck him off.this bloke has a good business nowse & what Lerner did was a long term fix.are you saying then Fox wouldn’t of agreed to these terms or am I way off the mark???

i aven’t got all the answers, i just pretend i do ~ but having just arrived, wouldn’t he take stock of the club first, before he stamps his authority. i am thinking the way average crowds are falling income from merchandise , its hard to attract bigger and better sponsors, its foxes job 2 advice lerner on ways to improve his business and if that means a new manager i can see that

Going to take a fair bit of time, he’s doing 2 jobs in 1, and he came from Arsenal, a much bigger club with a much bigger fan base worldwide who make far more money than Villa does, partially because of him. He has more work to do and most likely with less to do it with. Very likely Fox is only looking long term so anything we see will most likely be past this season imo.

Clubcall is reporting that we are chasing Danny Ings from Burnley (although he’s yet to score a goal in the top flight) oh happy days.

In all fairness he’s been injured, and they’ve scored as many goals as we have in the league. Seems Newcastle and Stoke want him too, all likely in the summer when he’s on a free. Burnley likely to want a bigger fee in January as they’ll hope he starts firing to keep them up.

Grealish a loan target of Nottingham Forest’s, think it’d be a wise move till January, get him playing time, decent team (poor form currently) and if he’s not gonna even make the bench then it’s a bloody waste having him play in the U-21’s.

Right or Wrong? What do YOU think?
