El Ahmadi Escapes Serious Injury

Karim El Ahmadi was the victim in Ramires horror tackle in the 92nd minute of the Aston Villa Vs Chelsea game. Ramires was rightly sent off for what Paul Lambert described as a ‘leg-breaker’ tackle. Lucky El Ahmadi only sustained a sore shin.

“If Karim comes in from another angle, he breaks his leg. It was shocking. He has got a sore one but thankfully he’s okay.

“He has a sore one on his shin. It certainly could have been worse.” – Paul Lambert

El Ahmadi has gotten back into the starting 11 and I will admit he has been playing some good football. I thought he played very well against Norwich and even better against Chelsea last weekend. His defensive ability has recently improved as well as his positioning and creativity in attack. In his last two games he has averaged a ‘Whoscored’ rating of 7.5. Lets hope that the experienced midfielder can keep up his form and maybe even add to his goal tally at the end of the season.

I always new Karim would come good…Goodlad….UTV…Shocking tackle should be suspended for at least 5 games maybe more as intent was clearly evident…UTV

  3. If you follow Ramirez over this season you will find he’s losing pace, I’m guessing more to come with bad tackles from him. Have to say, the more I see that tackle you, would think the FA would step in with a bigger punishment.

Mourinho? Lose one of his regulars for 5 games? At such a crucial stage of the season? Never gonna happen, KEA is more liekely to get the ban for being in the way of a Chelsea player ffs

And Mourinho blamed the ref for Ramires’s terrible tackle. Because you know, the ref’s supposed to tell a grown man that he can’t break a guys leg no matter how sad and pathetic he is.

  6. Shocking tackle and absolutely unacceptable. Hopefully Karim will start training soon. Lucky guy. His performances improved a lot and he is doing all the dirty work and is running himself into the ground. Sometimes he looks a little bit slow in his movements and thinking. Sometimes he makes the wrong decision like shooting from distance instead of passing the ball to a better placed team mate. But obviously, our 3 midfielder have found a good understanding and complement each other.

  7. kea has been much improved this season. glad he’s ok that challenge was a career ender never mind a leg breaker.
