Up to three Villa players could leave the club in January, with Villa’s poor form contributing to potential exits. Ron Vlaar, is yet to sign a new contract with Aston Villa and at this moment appears unlikely. Manchester United are keeping an eye out on the Dutch defender and would be willing to offer up to £6 million for his services.
Fabian Delph is another player that could leave club, with Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal all monitoring the situation. It’s believed that neither players are happy with the direction the club are moving in and could possibly snub new contracts in order to force a move out of Villa Park.
Bacuna is the third player that could potentially leave the club having been limited to only 4 appearances it appears as though he will evaluate his future at the club. Apparently the arrival of Roy Keane has hindered his progression at the club this season.
All in all, it’s not been positive for Aston Villa over the past few weeks. Aston Villa haven’t won since early September and since then only scored one goal. Players are being unsettled and questioning the direction the club is heading in. It’s difficult to keep key players if they see no bright future with the club. Having said that, the Villa board should be blamed for failing to tie up Delph much earlier. Towards the end of last season, Delph did say that he was happy at the club and he would be content with staying for the rest of his career. That was the time period in which you offer a man a contract. Losing both Delph and Vlaar would be a disaster as they have been our best players this season.
Delph and Vlaar will be missed to a degree but both injury prone and a bit overrated so no big deal, cash in whilst we can! they wont want to stay once were relegated anyway!
Lamberts again come out and said he is not a quitter and doesn’t fear the sack.
After 2 seasons of consecutive worst home records in our history and now 6 defeats on the bounce if he had any real balls he would quit.
Regards Vlaar and delph – not bothered – average at best.
The B’ham Mail is saying Delph as turned Villa’s offer so if want a fee for him he”l have to go in the Jan window.
At the moment Vlaar and Delph are both members of Villa’s best 11. So in that sense we haven’t got known replacements in the wings. But this is a poor Villa squad. Lambert does not know how to improve it on the budget he has. I think we should now bring forward the youngsters, because the rest of the first team squad have a losing mentality. There is a slim chance the youngsters could keep us up. The has-beens could not care less.
Slim? Anorexic more like…
West Ham fan next door gloating Araldyce manager of the month Sako player of the month, said getting a hiding tomorrow Villa, no I said we will lose 3-1 a hiding is 8 -0 or 7-1 🙂
Tell him we’ve got a record breaker as every game passes beat that fucker.
Will the curse of The Manager Of The Month strike in our favour?????
Sakho
I think all this talk about Delphi n Viaar is taken the flack from Lambert this week. I am worried where is our next win coming from. Can’t see us getting anything out of W Ham. I want us to win then am saying to myself if we lose that prick might be sacked.
Is anyone going to post a west ham vs preview???if not I would totally understand. 🙁
My good I forgot to type the opponents.
Don’t worry Giddy, I think its football club in Aston. 🙂
Slipped my mind mate dementia kicking in.
look on the bright side…….. hmmmmmmmmmmmm I can see us scraping a draw with Burnley
Saddened please don’t get carried away mate a draw????? that’s something that dreams are made of.
Well today’s the day lads, Mr Lambert’s not bothered so nor am I , bet he puts Bent in middle, and has the same team, score today? 3-1 Hammers.
Far too generous mate 4-0 the haaaammers.

Cant see us getting anything out of this game. Villa fans on soccer AM singing we only score once a month . It give am a laugh , i will prob be depressed come 4.45
Lambert has to leave Agbon out offers nothing.
according to telegraph vlaar and delph going nowhere in jan would rather let them go for freeat end of season at least someone is showing some balls in this shambolic season
we will not go down.. with or without Vlaar and Delph… this is gonna be another long season but we wont go down, we have a habit of fluking wins and we will keep doing it
Okay Langford, we know that’s you in there…
So he continues with the obvious stupid 4-3-3, which is no surprise, nor is the team he put out.
Guzan: Lowton, Vlaar, Baker, Cissokho; Cleverley, Sanchez, Westwood; Weimann, Gabby, N’Zogbia.
he’s got no choice what’s wrong with 433 we lose whatever team or formation he puts out as players are crap
All over us at the min, 60% west ham 4 chances 4 blocks, Abonglahor missing a chance again goalie to beat over the bar
Fuck me, this is terrible, even for our standards. Total domination by West Ham.
I firmly believe now that the only way forward for us is to get rid of Lambert…..same dire tactics, easily played against.
Iv given the guy a chance but iv lost all confidence.
So predictable, lack of imagination, opposition know exactly what to do. Why not try something differnt, 442, 2 up top with 2 wingers, give grealish a surprise start, whether it’s young players, older players this guy can’t cut it. Go all out, commit and get klopp in, big changes are needed, someone with a bit of imagination!!!
All so predictable. Same formation. Same possession stats. Same lack of goal threat. It is just a matter of time. They will score, we won’t be able to respond and they will cruise to a win.
The bench is totally uninspiring as well. Watched Liverpool Chelsea, and interesting to see the pundits/ex-players all pointing out that Liverpool now play sideways and backwards where they used to look forward and attack with pace. Villa are exactly the same (actually much worse). We have a suspect defence, poor midfield and a useless attack (without Benteke). I really don’t see us surviving this season unless there are changes. I really don’t know why I bother.
