Aston Villa vs Chelsea has been moved for Wed 21 August. This is because Chelsea are playing in the Uefa Supercup as they won the Europa League, they will be playing against Bayern Munich. The game has been moved 10 days earlier. This is our fixture list right now.
Sat 17 Aug: Arsenal Vs Aston Villa = 15:00
Wed 21 Aug: Chelsea Vs Aston Villa = 19:45
Sat 24 Aug: Aston Villa Vs Liverpool = 15:00
Such a tough start for Paul Lambert’s men. This has also means that Aston Villa won’t play a game from August 24th to the 14th which is a game against Newcastle. That’s a long break, 21 days of no football for Aston Villa.
Looking at the teams strengths, I think we can get a draw or even a win against Arsenal, they haven’t added at all! I can’t see us beating Mourinho’s men at Stanford bridge, such a good team this year. Good mix of youth and experience at Chelsea and they’ve even added. Liverpool is a game I can see us winning, however I know little about their new signings.

Good to get these out the way IMO, new lads will be blooded really quickly. I can see us getting a result against Liverpool. Arsenal will be a toughy, Chelski will beat us comprehensively. They’ll win the league this year Chelski
I think so too, Arsenal also have a very good chance of winning the league.
Either way, if we can get 1-4 points from the opening 3 games. I’ll happily take it
That’s against the grain, I wonder if Villa could slot in a game from across the water, 21 days is in my mind is bad to have player’s not working. Some would say well its a rest, others the league hasn’t even got going to for us, good or bad ? me its not good for Villa. imo,
It’s a long break, there are international friendlies in the middle of it though. I wonder why it was pushed forward.
I think that Mourinho preferred to play earlier for some reason.
Anyway, what will I do for 21 days!

arsenal and chelsea away are probably a blessing in disguise ~ i think its a good time 2 meet these 2, as they r not up and running plus being a good yardstick ~ hopefully my comments won’t come back 2 haunt me if so u can beat me with the yardstick 🙂
