So onto Boxing Day and we finally have a 3PM Boxing Day KO, when did this happen last ??
This will be second game of the season and though I might be off PL football anything beats being at home ha ha and what a game to pick.
On the surface we appear to be looking at an awful game between two of the worse sides in the division. However I am not so pessimistic at all as some are. Firstly because Palace are missing their best player and secondly Westwood is out !
Some may think that Palace will park the bus and cause us problems but they can not defend like us. I can see a lot of goals in this game because of this. Without the snail Westwood we will have more forward momentum forward and this can only help us.
We know where we are now, we can debate for hours as to the situation but this is a must win game. The wind you can tell is turning against Lambert and a defeat on Boxing Day will continue this process. However a win and suddenly the pressure is relived going into a game with Swansea which is also winnable.
Looking at the fixtures you can tell how important the next two games are. Two defeats and we are staring a fourth relegation struggle in 4 seasons, that is abysmal. Get 4-6 points from the next two games and we are sitting pretty in mid table.
Forecast – 3-2 Win Villa
Season ticket holder and I’m actually going to this one , recently it’s been far to easy to give it a miss , stay at home and watch on sky in the warmth without wasting anymore time , effort , and more money down VP .
Have a horrible feeling that this could turn into another horror show (like Wigan at home last season ) on the plus side if it turns up the heat on Lambert it wouldn’t be a bad concelation prize ! 1-1
