I cant.believe there are still fans defending Lerner and this inept team WE ARE SHITE. Making excuses for one shocking performance after another is not going to bring change. What has Lerner done for Villa in his time here ? We are worse now than under Ellis and that takes some doing ! The only way forward is a fresh start with new owners with ambition. Lerner has wrecked the club and the fans need to stop making stupid excuses and show our hapless yank we want him out.

Agree mate to much blind loyalty and not enough questions being asked

It’s not blind loyalty, it’s pointing out the obvious. Despite you claiming Villa are shit, Villa sit 13th after again the hardest start of any club, including United who shouldn’t struggle with their team compared to Villa’s. We’re just not crying ourselves to sleep yet because Villa aren’t in danger yet. After we lose to City, if we continue to drop points against Hull, Spurs again, Cardiff, West Bromich and Sunderland. If we don’t get a single win, or even 2 wins in there, then you’ll see a lot more fans turning.

Seriously getting fed up of this site. How many of you lot moaning actually watched the game ffs?! After hearing Lambert’s press conference and seeing both teams starting line ups the result was pretty clear. They did not play a second string, 4-0 flattered them and they were aided by the fact that there first 2 goals came at perfect times. This opinion was also backed up by a hardened spurs fan who I watched the game with. He agreed, for 45 mins there really wasn’t a lot in it.
The fact is they spent over £100 million this summer and god knows how much the year before, where as we have had to up the numbers while compromising quality in most cases. We didn’t get thrashed, our weakened team was beaten by a starting 11 that is better than at least the bottom 12 of the premiership. Wake up, smell the coffee, things are not that bad and things will get better. Lambert’s doing a reasonable job with the tools at his disposal, Lerner is not going anywhere soon, and I, as many other fans, will continue to support the club through these tough times because that’s what real fans do. UTV, Keep the faith and SOTC. Villa till I die.

It’s cute little kids come on here trying to claim how “true fans” would act.

Every single Villa fan knows it’s not all great at Villa Park, we’re just not whiny little children balling their eyes out making claims that we’re going down and we’re shit with 33 games left to go and we’re not even in the relegation zone at this very moment. And how 1 single call from the officials tonight would completely change the game.

And some are mindless idiots like yourself who spout absolute shit.

Tell you what, why don’t you, OohAh and Terry get yourselves down to the next home game, make yourselves some little placards, remember to check your spelling, and go and protest.

Please tell me exactly, what do you expect the club to do at the minute?

And please don’t say Lerner sell up as like many other people have said, it’s simply not that easy.

Blind loyalty will not help the club it is obvious things are not right we have been shocking now for over 3 seasons and things are getting worse. Excuses are all we get from some deluded fans after yet another.heavy defeat ignoring the facts which are that the team is awful.and has little quality caused by an owner who has no ambition or will to succeed. All this crap about lotalty is laughable. Lerner is a sick joke and needs to go. We had good players but the clown sold them all and niw look at us a LAUGHING STOCK

No surprise at all. Spurs have a squad full of quality players, even their subs/ 2nd team is far better than our first team.
What Lambert has assembled is a team full of bargain buys, none of whom are good enough at the top level
For all those who claim Lambert needs time and patience, wasn’t that exactly the same thing that was said the last time Spurs beat us 4-0 at home 9 months ago. And where is the progress since then?
The only plus point is this year we weren’t humiliated by a league two club in the process of being knocked out the cup, incidentally the last time I entered VP. Won’t be returning and don’t miss it. Lerner is playing the fans as fools, those with blind loyalty remain in the hope of better days that will never come. Sad times for an ailing and ambitionless club.

Nobody tells me Billy Boots that people like myself are not true fans, you are the ones that make football teams what they become, Aston Villa are shite with no hopes of going anywhere, you stick with a team that we both love and will not get anywhere in your time and mine, just remember this the person who owns Villa is a yank out for money, he will serve you shite sport at your cost , he did it in America with their sport, a true Villa fan can see further than the end of their noses, but people like you cannot, we have more people now shocked at the end product of football dished up at Villa park now than ever. Billy boots wake up that’s my team, you and others don’t tell me to fuck off, I’m more a supporter than you will ever know. Get real.

Well said Old Bill. It’s all pointless (literally farvtoo often). Villa will be just like the Browns for as long as Lerner is here.
And Lambert’s bargain basement lower league buys will just take us down.
We were ahead of Spuds under MON. Now we’re relegation candidates for the third year running. Fucking joke club.
