Does anyone have any idea what formation we were playing for the second half, or any idea what our tactics were.

We weren’t able to string more than 3 passes together from what I saw. I saw 94 minutes.

    Lambert out!

our possession at home against a poor Swansea side lacking confidence…….26%
cant really blame the defence for conceding when they are defending for 3/4 of every game they play.

Another poor performance. But at least 1 point – the first we clinched at festive periode for 2 years!! Yeah! As a team, we were second best to an average Swansea team. They played us off the park. The only positive thing was our defence with exception of Luna. Look at the marking – better non marking – at the goal we conceded. Swansea had 4 or 5 Spaniards who played wonderful football and we have one who can´t pass and defend. Sums it up.

Lambert has to go totally clueless lose to Sunderland next week and we are right in the relegation battle again. Though we may already fighting to stay in prem. just because we got a lucky point at home to a depleted swans side that we beat last year shouldn’t allow lamberk to keep his job he has to go now

its incredible, we were playing the long hoof ball even before kozac came on, who exactly do we think is going to win those air balls ahead of swanseas CB’s gabby? wiemann? it makes no sense and the fact we’ve been doing it with 99% of our possession this season(which probably amounts to about 9 mins)and its more than obvious it doesn’t work we are still doing it, over and over and over and over.

Ok here are the stats from bbc website. They had 17 shots to our 7 and 8 corners to our 2. Possession as always we got slaughtered. We were at home ffs to a depleted swans side and they still passed us of the park. Lamberk fuck off now

      Swansea 73%
      Shots

We are playing the long ball because we miss the class and confidence on the ball. And our movement is not good enough. We don´t possess the quality to keep the ball on the ground and play fluent football. Don´t think that PL likes the hoof ball, I am sure he wants to play a different style but the players don´t have the quality. But it´s his team. He brought the players in. On the other hand, with a small transfer budget who can´t get better players.

Bottom line is he sends our top striker out on loan has spent 3 times more than Everton and flucked just one point from the last 15 against top quality sides like palace, stoke etc. He has to go and Lerner and faulkner with him. The club is a joke. I suppose people will go and say we didn’t lose instead of what a shit performance we gave. Effectively we did lose as teams below us are making up the ground.

Ooha, in principle you are right. But even if we change Managers we have the same team and the lack of quality in it. I really don´t know how to change it. And what makes me angry most is the fact our youth team won the Champ league last year but nobody of them is obviously ready to get into this dull first team.

The youth thing at villa is a myth. Ok we win a trophy but honestly the difference between youth and prem is huge. Wev got quantity but no quality. Where’s our Rooney or Rodwell or Walcott. Why did we sell a 15 yr old new Wiltshire to arsenal last season. Why couldn’t we hold on to him Ffs. Lambert has still spent 3 times the amount of Everton. His players cheap or not are total and utter shite. It is his choice not to have a few experienced heads in there not Lerners. Lamberk has to go now

What it boils down to for me is would you expect tens of thousands of people to pay to watch that and take hours out of their day for what we’re getting these days? Is there no responsibility now to give us supporters something to support? If you went into a restaurant and paid that for a meal and had a bad time is that ok? Where’s the fun in that?

Jut back and we were just as bad as against palace, when i think about the teams we have supported in the past i truely beleave this is the worst squad of players we have had in living memory and that includes the side billy mcneil had. What a disgrace our clubs owners are all that matters is a low wage bill and cheap signings we are going down and this side could get relegated from the championship

A stat from sky. 3 swansea players touched the ball more than a hundred times. Villa’s player that had most touches was guzan 55 times that tells u everything u need to no about villa

We were just unbeliveably poor in every single department of our game. There wasn’t one moment I thought “wow, good play” “nice ball” or that we might score.

We played long ball with Kozac on the bench, we don’t win corners anymore because we don’t have possesion of any sorts in teh opposition half.

We can’t pass the ball along the ground just three times without losing it.

We still have no left side, Hutton needs to come back in, really it’s embarassing. I feel for Delph because he’s not a great player and the amount of time he has to cover for Gabby and Luna is an absolute joke.

We have no goal threat whatsoever, it’s infuiating that at home we had a full ten less attemps on goal than our opposition.

We are probably going to get relegated unless drastic changes are made to our staff/squad in January

    Lambert Out!!
