Mate I just hope the fans don’t get blinkered by this result if it stays this way, all I can say if so they have very very short memories.

because lamberk has achieved what lerner has asked. put it this way there is no need to keep lambert now we are safe so if we dont sack him now he is here for next season

Right right. I mean Lerner is that kind of owner. He always sacks managers before the end of the season… I mean there’s… Uhm… Well… Damn it, can’t think of one.

The season is over for us we can’t godown get someone else in for next 2 games to asses squad. Imagine if pl won next 2 games no way would he be sacked

What if we want a manager that’s already at a job at the moment who won’t leave yet? What if we really want someone like Yakin, you really think he’s just gonna split on Basel right now? Unless we’re going for someone who isn’t at a job or who plans on leaving their job after the World Cup from their International job, it’s not gonna happen.

well i can breathe much easier now, i thought they played well, especially weimann and bowery ( shame gabby went off injured ) both ran and ran results also went for us but we no longer needed um 🙂
happy as larry, now we can concentrate on selling this club, to somebody who wants 2 invest in one of the best clubs in the world

I’m still convinced Lerner isnt selling club but just looking additional investment so he can give Lambert a chance with better players. Not that I agree with that though. A new owner, new manager, new players and nothing less for me please. Great result today but too little to late.

If wev got money to spend lamberk is the last person I’d give it to. If he is here next season then I certainly won’t be. If that makes me fickle I don’t give a toss

Thats my fear Oohah. Its like when McAllister won the last few games that season people were saying give him a chance but forgot the shit that came before. I don’t hate Lambert but I don’t think he can take this club forward even with funds. If only there was a good manager out there with a passion for villa like Little or Gregory. Hopefully Laurson or Mellberg makes a good manager one day. Someone we can all unite behind.

Not sure laurrsen is the and never rated him that highly when he played for us another centre half with a mistake in him we always seem to sign them. And before I get slated yes other defs make mistakes to but our make more. Anyway we digress lambert is out of his depth yes he was dealt abad hand but still a better hand than when he was at Norwich. It’s still him that signs the players picks the teams etc. So it’s his fault. Bottom line is we are no better than last yr and slightly worse than when mclown was in charge. Lamberk has lived on the anything but mcleish from fans for too long. He loses most matches and has given us most unwanted records in our history. He got lucky today that their players had an eye on cup final next week and wernt as wholehearted as normal. Bottom line is this is another win that papers over the cracks. Let’s hope the 3 wise monkeys announce their departure and soon

I am NOT saying that Lambert must stay but I do feel that he has been dealt a terrible hand in terms of available funds. As Tekkers says though, I am not sure that he could spend significant funds wisely. In simple terms, I think the job is too big for him. We must aim ‘much higher’ in terms of both managers and owners. We have to show real ambition in the summer as I dont think we could survive yet another relegation fight.
Fuck offLerner, the Villa is OURS
