IanRobo has submitted the following and I have a bit of news for you.
He has requested that he become an author again, so he can get his points up quicker.
While some of you will no doubt be groaning, there’s absolutely no doubt that he knows how to get a debate going, which I’m sure we all appreciate. Oohah and myself are certainly glad to have him back and we knew he wouldn’t be able to stay away for long;
There are times when you look at the club and think they could not fall any lower. Today was one of those for Aston Villa.
We had two distinct events today.
The first was Lambert saying no one cared for the FA CUP. At no time did he qualify this and say he did, it was clear for us and many Clubs the FA Cup is a total irrelevance.
I HATE that. The FA Cup is special, so special that I would go to every game and have done so for the last 4/5 years because I want to win it. The League Cup for me is something we have won in my lifetime, we have never won the FA cup, obviously. For a club whose whole name was about the competition it is awful.
Some Villa fans may defend this, some may claim the PL is supreme but we can never win it and we are likely never even to be 4th. We have the chance to only win two trophies a year and the FA cup should be a focus. However who cares as long as we finish 17th and survive ?
So after this broke I get home from work and see Hairyhands on Villatalk has spoken. This guy is an ITK and is a true one, he is right. He has said that Kozak is out with an injury for the season. This was confirmed by Dave Woodhall on H&V, this appears true.
IMHO I believe that HairyHands is a journo (HairyHands is what Richard Keys used to be called) and that he gets told information by Lambert and/or club for their own purposes. I dealt with ITK’s before but never a journo and never directly from the club and never was I using the info to deflect attention away.
What I hate about this totally is that it appears to me that the news of this serious injury was leaked to deflect away from Lambert’s comments.
Just how awful is that to use a player’s injury to deflect the attention away ?
Have this grand club of ours under Lerner become so low to use a serious injury in this way ?
