I take it he’s Turkish? It don’t matter to me he can be from mars as long as he’s good, but how long before he breaks through?15 seems young and wet under the ears to me, if as you say a midfielder hope he has the strength to make his mark with the big boys.

No mate he’s apparently of Swedish-Palestinian extraction.
Just hope if he makes it they come up with a nick name for him, Moustafa Zeidan Khalili would cost a fortune to put on the back of a shirt.

Its brilliant from his agent…”Very similar style to Ozil” – SOLD

Almost as good as when we didn’t buy an AM in Jan, Villa released “Nzog could return this season”

Little over a month later…..Nah he’s out all season!!!

Sounds promising but obviously it’s going to be at least 3 years before he gets a chance.
On another note, Callum Robinson scored again for the England U19’s last night and he was on the bench against Norwich. I think this lads got a big future I hope were safe in the league asap so we can see some of these talents on the big stage. Also what about buy of the season for us..Bacuna anyone? what did he cost apparently under £1m according to Lambert, not bad at all!

This new kid had better hope Lambert leaves sharpish, imo as he’ll never get a look at the first team as things stand.

As for NZogbia, it’s as I said a few weeks back.
He’ll never kick a ball for us again, let alone this season, imo.

ST’s, no, sorry, I’d expect way more than a handful of wins at home before I was tempted.
I know the price rise is negligable, but even that’s taking the piss, when you consider some of the fayre that’s been on display this season.

And if they’re expecting the usual “links to decent players that never happen” tactic to work this time round, I predict they’re going to come unstuck.

Problem is badger that tactic seems to work every year it’s a classic ellis tactic. And ur right they Shoukd be dropping the price after this season how can they justify a price rise however negligible. Tge price Shoukd go down not up

I really don’t think it will work this time, Oohah.
I think many have seen through the tactic and are thinking that after the recent austerity we simply have to buy some decent players if we are to really progress.

I might be wrong, but at least I called the NZogbia case correctly when I said there was no chance of him playing for us again this season.

        “Prognosis of Achilles Tendon Rupture

The majority of people return to normal activity levels with either surgical or nonsurgical treatment.
Most studies indicate a better outcome with surgery. Athletes can expect a faster return to activity with a lower incidence that the injury will happen again. Physiotherapy can expedite recovery time.
Typically as the rupture site heals, a small lump remains from the scarring. Atrophy of the adjacent calf muscle is not uncommon.
Weight bearing commonly begins at about six weeks with a heel support.
Return to running or athletics is traditionally about four to six months. With motivation and rigorous physical therapy, elite athletes may return to athletics as early as three months after injury.

        http://www.emedicinehealth.com/achilles_tendon_rupture/page12_em.htm

Now either our medical team are total rubbish, or the injury is a massive one-off, if the above is correct.
I don’t believe a word about his injury and my money says he’s been sidelined, in exactly the same way Dunne was. Total bullshit, same as most of what comes out of the club, imo.

Agreed badger why sideline him though he’s not a bad player and no worse than others we have. Hope ur rights re st but I can still see at least 20,000 falling for it

Admittedly the football’s been pants (particularly at home) but come on at £325 and on interest free you can’t really knock it.
If I worked 9 till 5 Monday to Friday I’d have one without hesitation but it don’t really work out economical with my shift patterns.

So happy to see Villa adding a few foreign youth. Shake things up a bit,

Italian media claim Villa’s scouted young Genoa forward (mostly played on the wing for them) Konate, on loan there with an option to buy. Watched him a few times, he’s a bit selfish, but loves to have a go at players, pretty fast and has played as a CF or RW, scored once in 16 or so appearances but only recently has he gotten into their starting line up, and has played the last 5 games on the right. Seems a talented player with some decent potential.

Andrew, at face value, I think many would agree that it’s a good thing.
But where is the slightest suggestion that Lambert actually brings the kids on?
I’m certainly not seeing it and the truth is I can’t see any signs of decent coaching at first team level, let alone at the younger levels.

No doubt you’ll cite the Nextgen win, which is fair enough, but why aren’t any of them getting a look in (when this manager would rather bring his trusted mate on) if they’re so good?

I’d be loving these associations with exciting sounding young kids if I thought they had a chance of playing for us.
More like prospects that we’re hoping to make a profit on, imo and if that’s the case, I couldn’t give a toss.

Oh I agree, I don’t, never have, never will, want Lambert as our Manager. I’ve never had faith he’d do well for us. I do think Cowans is a good enough youth coach, and given a chance would be better than Lambert at first team level.

I personally wouldn’t go off of Lambert playing Holt over any of the youth. Its Lambert, he’s never been a good enough manager for the Villa, though the one thing Villa have done is they play the youth. Mainly under Houllier and mainly now because depth is what we wouldn’t have without them.

I get excited for football when we sign youth, because Cowans can nurture them and they’ll eventually come good, probably not at Villa and that’s sad, but they’ll come good for football. But I agree, players like Stieber, an actual winger, an actual left footed player, 22 years old already, hasn’t been given a chance. if what Lambert says is true (which of course it rarely ever is), that he never feared relegation, why Stieber isn’t even making the bench is pathetic.

I’d claim the Nextgen win, simply because they faced a ton of incredible academies, but not being played by Lambert isn’t a good reason why they’re not good enough, because he’s an idiot.

I mean Cowans started Abdo in the last U21 game, he’s 17, Sellars 18, Wildin who’s 17 as well. He seems to have faith in the even younger players, not just the U21’s but the U18’s as well. And they won, with a clean sheet. Be it against the worst U21 team, but he’s at least giving them the chance. Wouldn’t see Lambert giving any of the U21’s a chance against Fulham, Cardiff, and so on, despite them being the worst teams in the league. So yes I do think Villa are producing good enough talent, but a terrible manager is always going to hinder them, and the only one who I could’ve seen giving chances, was Houllier.
