Jay Dee what team do we pick for a 4-4-2.. we don’t have the middle two for 4-4-2..

Rather we could drop Weiman and play Tonev.. Drop K EA and play Sylla.. the middle three are a problem creative wise full stop.. but Sylla and Delph should be def starters..

Just a thought the only bright spark we Villa fans are likely to see this season is if Lamberk & Lerner could be sent to the electric chair.Oh sorry along with the Lambert,s LEMMINGS.

Sylla, Delph and Tonev who can play central as he for Bulgaria usually starts up top but often drifts out wide or drops back to pick up the ball/interchange with Popov. That would force Weimann to have to start then as Kozak’s not a winger nor is Helenius. Though feel that would give more cover to the fullbacks who will burst forward still.

The main thing that annoys me is the use of subs. We bought new players lets fucking use them and change it up a bit, give them 70 mins instead of 5 mins now and again lets see if any of them shine. If we play the same players week in week out our style of play will be obviously the same and predictable as it has been so far. Start bacuna at right back give lowton a rest. Weimann for tonev, helenius for gabby. that would be a start!

Not surprised one bit by the defeat.
We are woeful at home and have been for years
Ball retention remains a major problem and we all know were crying out for a playmaker, well everyone except randy and paul.
Ill get slated for it but im afraid lambert never has been and never will be able to organise a defence. 9 months without a league clean sheet is abysmal and shameful.
We’ll stay up again because of Benteke but when CB leaves, were screwed.

With Gabby missing a sitter, it shows that Benteke is the only hot striker we have. This puts pressure on the defence because we have to limit the oppos to 1 goal if we want any points.
We do not have the goalkeeper to do that. Guzan has given away two really bad goals, Chelsea’s first and Newcastle’s second. In both cases he punched the ball quite deliberately, and it went exactly where the punch was aimed. Firstly into the chest of his own player for an OG and today the ball went to the only Newcastle forward who was in the clear. This proved he did not look and it is not the play of a top class Keeper. He won’t improve. 25 consecutive failures to keep a clean sheet tells the rest of the story.

That’s harsh Ian I think if it wasn’t for Guzan overal we would have had more hammering s. admittedly he could have done better for their second goal but where was the defence to act when the ball ran loose. For the first goal kae lost the ball fir the umpteenth time lowton might as well have not been there the guy my mate vlaar was marking just got in front of him-when vlaar should have cut out cross to be fair-then nicked it past him for their forward to have a virtual open goal. Can’t blame Guzan for letting in a virtual open goal. Their second goal was a replica of what Ben arfa did a few minutes earlier he run at defence cut inside on the left and Guzan saved well. But un believably a few minutes later they let arfa do exactly the same thing which led to their goal. The big worry is we have learned nothing from last year and we are still not learning from our mistakes.

I said after watching Luna in a few friendly s that lamberk has replaced like with like IMO. I would say that Luna is a fraction better than Bennett but that is nowhere near good enough. Lambert has tried to be clever by trying to build a top ten team on the cheap. He got lucky with Benteke but the rest are very average IMO except maybe okore.

Damage done you can say with the likes of Luna, having said that you could point your finger at 3 or not up to standard, just think people renewed tickets, bought tops, gave up other things to go to games and what we’ve got shite players, how can the likes of Fulham , Newcastle, Stoke, and others show improved performance and we just lucky not to be bottom again, then the twat says he’s proud of the players, I’m steadily lost bothering knowing things are not happening with Aston Villa.

Get Sylla back in for starters! What has the guy done wrong?! He was probably our best player other than Benteke towards the end of last season. Westwood not cutting it for me at the moment and KEA was out-bossed again yesterday. Let’s see a bit of width and, like Jimbo says, try Tonev and Gabby out wide and whip the ball in to our big target men – we’ve got three now with Benteke, Kozak and Helenius, for goodness sake, let’s use that to our advantage or what’s the point in having them?! And get Baker back in the back four. Give Weimann a bit of time out and he’ll come back fresher. Mix up the starting line-up and the tactics please, Mr Lambert! We’re becoming far too one-dimensional!

i said before the game that anything less than 3 pts would be piss poor and as we all know the performance was piss poor and most surprisingly was a seeming lack of effort, there was a lot of walking about going on yesterday and the passing…..OMG the passing, players winning balls only to then go pass a 3 yard pass under no pressure straight to the opposition.
i wont go over everything as im sure we’ve covered it all but for me we were just way, way too narrow, they were using the whole pitch while we seemed intent on fighting through a crowed centre while luna and lowton were often in acres of space out wide.
once more ive got to question lamberts tatics in bringing on kozack when for me tonev or helleius would have been a better opiontion, what were we playing then? 4-2-4?
very poor all round, once more no plan b and poor effort, as i said piss poor.

I can understand what PL is trying to do.. he has a very small budget and he can’t pay anyone on average more then 20K it seems.. so it is very hard for him to get quality in.. hi hands are tied and that is down to RL and the purse strings..

Having said that a few things baffle me.. why is Sylla nowhere to be seen.. he has hardly played in pre season and in the first four games of the season.. i thought he would grow as a player but the fact he hasn’t been played must mean PL hasn’t seen improvement..

Also 4-2-4 with four strikers uptop and two in the middle who can’t create in the loacal 5 a side league.. that CANNOT be plan B..

Tonev.. Helenuis.. Bacuna where brought in the summer and they need to be used more otherwise why buy them..

Plus it seems like Okore and Vlaar are looking solid but with no cover in front and full backs all over the place there work is being made a lot more difficult..

So who is happy Lambert hasn’t signed a new contract yet? I say he has the next 6 games to turn this round,10 at the most. We shouldn’t have to suffer a 4th relegation battle. The majority of our expectations have been lowered to a mid table finish this season. I do believe we have some quality players who could deliver a good season and with as little as 1 solid signing in January we could just push a top six. Part of being a good manager is being dynamic and Paul Lambert is almost being bashful and certainly naive if he believes a counter attacking 4 3 3, home and away will see us comfortable this season. I believe Lambert has the qualities to get back to a good start but lets just not leave it to let again please.I spotted a grey hair on my head at the end of last season and ill hold Aston villa football club responsible for the second if this season replicates the last 3!

Tom I hear and see where your coming from, but don’t you think that this problem has been going on far to long, enough is enough Tom I have been on the side of change at Villa for far to long , normally I would say give it 6 to 10 games but if you see crap ideas of who plays where in wrong places you begin to wonder if they know what to do. We all don’t trust the yank, might have got a manager to do his begging, ie , save money just keep us solvent and not to worry about league places. My biggest gripe apart from our American twat is that Lambert has failed to cure any of the problems from last season. Sh*te defence and no creativity in midfield. as usual the Villa manager has been given a ‘limited budget’ but what has neen spent has not improved the team. The whole club is rotten to the core because of poor management. Lerner’s fall out with MON the appointment of a manager with health problems the appointment of a manager with 2 relegations on his CV the appointment of Faulkner the selling off of our best players and buying crap cheap replacements. And some fans wonder why we are shit ! You dont have to be Einstein.to work it out.

Talk about over fuckin reactions, you can do no right with retarded fans who hav no clue about football, if we had changed the starting line up and formation all the negs would be sayin why did we change a team that’s playing well! If we pass it short all the fans start booing and want us to play it long or quick, ye have no patience and bearly a brain cell! One second ye want Lambert to get a new contract next ye expect us to beat Liverpool who i said would be much harder to beat than any idiots here expected and the same with newcastle who by far have a better midfield than us and way more creativity! I thought a draw would have been good enough and we could hav had it if gabby didn’t miss da sitter! Im not sayin Lambert is brilliant i don’t like the signings he has made, sure we hav a better squad but he has in no way improved our starting 11, and all this talk about relagation already its been 4 games ye dumb fuckin shitheads 3 of those games against to 5 teams, logic and common sense seems to not matter to people on this site but i tell u 1 thing Lambert has far more of a clue than any idiot here including me! And your were wrong like always full of shit with no facts or figures and any facts used in a debate u just blindly pass them by so you can spread more negative bullshit, i agree westwood has become invisible, sylla who was a revelation since January can’t get a game who knows y? Lowton is starting to struggle all true but after 4 games noting matters when 30 games are played and we’re in trouble then for once in your miserable depressing life you will be right but until them everything that comes out of your 1track mind is hearsay and bullshit, even this shit with clean sheets! Clean sheet Will never win a cup or a league i know how much u loved the negative crap u and mcClueless want us to play but sorry i prefer watching football and thinkin we can win a couple games! Yes sorry i forgot logic wouldn’t work with somebody with 1 brain cell! Again never once did i say i was happy or that i believe lerner just wants us to finish bottom 5 every time! What i have said (use that 1 cell to pay attention now)was that i expect a mid table finish this year an IMPROVEMENT on last year, just because i don’t go from extacy to depression every 5 mins doesn’t mean i am happy with a relagation battle every year! It just means i have enough brains to realise 4 games does not make a season! And its because of fans like you that players, managers and owners get disillusioned with the villa because ye don’t support ye just moan and boo and say things like im so happy i don’t go to games anymore so the club gets less money but still they should spend 40 mill a season just so that brainless idiots like u will still moan and not go 2 matches! If the fans can’t be bothered why should the players or the owner?
