not surprising clubs are looking at guzan, he is a great keeper and part of the core team, I believe he’s really enjoying his football at the minute nd being part of the team, he always looks like he’s very passionate win or loose.
im hoping that team spirit will keep him at Villa, he is crucial not just as a shot stopper im sure.

Be surprised if he moves, though he’s by some way better than Szczesny. He’d be a great keeper at just about any club in the EPL, other than maybe his distribution. Though not too worried, Wenger doesn’t tend to give up on his players despite them not being great, look at Ramsey and Wilshere, after their injuries, terrible. Now Ramsey’s come great and Wilshere’s okay and moving up. Hasn’t given up on Sagna, Gibbs, Van Persie and all.

I doubt this will happen as Villa have every right to slap a big price tag on him, which will put old Arsene off!

I choose to take that bit of news as Just paper talk, are clubs now finding that clubs like the Villa could upset their plans and get rid of protentinal players that might stop them in games.it might do Cuzan the world of good for his ego, but no, not for me to believe Arsenal are ready to splash out on a goalkeeper, papers looking for news.

To right they haven’t got a fucking scooby doo BP. Greenwood over Clough?? Graham Taylor (ok he did a good job for us but never an International manager). The wally with the brolly and now Woy whos vast playing experience came at the likes of Tonbridge Angels FC, Gravesend & Northfleet FC, Maidstone United FC, Ashford Town FC, Bearea Park FC (of Pretoria, South Africa) and Carshalton Athletic FC. Just what you need at international level.

Where the fuck you coming from BWS, my intentions with that remark i made was Rednapp saying about Hodgson ,didn’t need a running commentary on why’s and where for. Having said that he’s useless anyway.

My reasons why I don’t think Guzan would want to leave is because top clubs have a rep of dropping players regularly who have bad spots and also sell on.Guzan gets 1st team every week and he knows if he has an off patch Wenger would have no hez in dropping him.Believe it or not it isn’t the best option for some players. But then again players are that big headed they think they will never have off patches until they do……UTV

Very unusual for goalie to get dropped though

Yet it seems Schezney (can’t spell that) will be DROPPED for Guzan. This is another non story. Arsenal have more imprtant positions to think about before GK. Their defence for eg is troubling them.

Spot on JimT, rubbish news from agents and media.Arsenal do have bigger fish to fry and its not a goalkeeper.

Paper trash yes, but I would not be at all surprised if somebody big came in for him. He IMO, is the best keeper in the prem.

Professional to the core and a fantastic shot stopper. Imagine how good he would ‘look’ playing in a side that don’t concede opportunities all too often.

We say we relied on Benteke last year to keep us up……This guy played a huge part in that too.

I just see this as paper talk. No quotes and Wenger rarely lets his transfer business go public. We didn’t know about until Ozil until the last minute but I can’t imagine, for that price, it was done ‘spur of the moment’

currently arsenal are sat top of the table only losing one this season and they are coasting in the CL so far so szcensy cant be doing too bad a job, 1st team football might not be 100% for sure if guzan went there.
but there is a load of shite in the press all the time, Chelsea are in for rooney in Jan, arsenal for benteke again in jan as well as Liverpool and Chelsea again, Chelsea also to sign remmy, man united oh benteke again and just about every decent CM you can think of.
Christ the summer was bad enough, they’re starting early.

“”Aston Villa, they’ve stuck by me, especially the manager, [Paul Lambert],” said Guzan ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Jamaica. “He’s given me a chance to play consistent football in Europe. It’s always nice when you’re linked with other teams, but for me, I’m very happy at Aston Villa.” He said, “It’s a club that I think is definitely on the rise, and it’s something I want to be a part of.””

    Well then.
