Villa do deal with Statsports; Who are they?

Is this old news?
I really don’t know, as I feel a bit out of the loop lately, with me working seven days a week and basically getting far less sleep than is anywhere near comfortable for me.

Anyway, Giddy asked me what the bras in the training in the US pics were about and I immediately assumed it was one of the American clubs sponsors or something.
Until a search revealed this (about a quarter of the way down the page atm);

https://www.facebook.com/statsports?hc_location=timeline

They’re a sports science company, who apparently have one of the best monitoring apps/pieces of kit going.
As one of the replies suggests, they’re supposed to be the dog’s danglies in their field and seem to have been working for the German international squad.
And we’ve apparently agreed a long term deal with them.

So why has this not been mentioned anywhere else?
Of course, it’s always possible that I’ve missed it, but a quick search on the OS reveals nothing.

To me, this is quite an important link-up and certainly more important than what’s being offered at the VMF restaurant, regardless of how highly it might be rated.

If they are indeed rated as highly as it seems, it would appear we’ve made a choice that we should be shouting about as a positive.
I’m not mad about all this stuff, as my views are well known in that the team are only playing two games a week and it should easily be within them at this sort of age.
But then, I’m frequently reminded that I’m behind the times.

If this link-up helps us, it doesn’t matter.
I’m all in favour of it.

Things may not be all rosy at Villa but it ain’t brilliant being a Southampton fan at the mo’. It looks like they are about to sell the other half of their first team LOL – and don’t say they’ve plemty of money to buy replacements – it doesn’t really work like that. As I see it they also have a disimterested non football owner that inherited through the passing of her father. Wonder how much Koeman(sic) will get to spend

Yep feel sorry for their fans tbh. A bit like us with Milner young etc. I think it’s a disgrace tbh no wonder the odds are always stacked in favour of the sky bore

i av pity 4 none other than us, we have our own mountain 2 climb. plus koeman wouldn’t av taken the role had their been no reassurance of money 2 spend. will players of the quality he likes join a small club is another matter. i see hes trying 2 replace shaw with a 20 mill international thats makes um considerably richer than us

any news on our transfers 🙂

Nath; not denying they may have more money to spend than us (and I don’t particularly feel sorry for their supporters). Just making a point that many clubs in the EPL are now at the mercy of the Vulture Club!

    http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/29/does-aston-villas-paul-lambert-deserve-to-be-favourite-in-the-premier-league-sack-race-4813501/

i like a flutter or two lol, but i would be totally surprised if lambert leaves his post either voluntary or sacked. also if this happen to be the first manager 2 bite the bullet first

sam big allardyce is nailed on 4me 2 leave. reasons are the board have insisted he play more expansive football, they don’t av the players 2 do this and his methods get results but the board and fans don’t want 2 see this style. so hes dead man walking only reason i aven’t taken the bet is hes massively odds on

alan pardew and harry redcrapp both are top bets both around 10/1 same as lambert i would rather tenner on pardew being his actions last year, his players seem 2 me not like him and lost respect so thats were i would flutter

Interesting to hear about an American Billionaire being at the game to see if Villa are worth investing in, as a few people posted a photo of Lerner entering the stadium talking to a man who looked an awful lot like Arison..

I think you’ll find that was a sarcastic remark by Kendrick aimed at Lerner!

IncogAVFC has tweeted that even though he has no names, last night and again this morning he was informed that Lerner was in advanced talks with his preferred buyer, and expects to have a deal done by the start of September.
