Morning Giddy. Think you’re right but maybe more from the perspective of balancing the wage bill rather than raising capital to buy. Also think we are really down to looking at a striker and possibly another defender – one that can play either CB or RB where I still think we could do with strengthening.

Austin is playing a dangerous game only Leicester have made a bid by £12m so if he’s not careful he could end up at qpr

I think it’s nowt to do with Austin it’s QPR, there pricing him out the market. No one will fork out the 15mil they’ll probably realize this & accept a lower offer just before the deadline.

sell to buy . we have already sold and have one of the lowest net spends this season in the premier league . can still see senderos and richardson leaving but would love to see n’zogbia gone.

I do not think we’ve spent any new money, we’ve just used the money from the sales of Benteke, Snake and Andy. QPR are comparing him to Benteke and are asking silly money. I’d imagine we do have more in the kitty, but we may be saving it until January when we know a little bit morw about our shortcomings.

Anyone noticed how Everton and wba have come to say stones and berhino are not for sale. Whether that remains the case remains to be seen. They will prob go last day of window. Cheksea are desperate for ch so Everton can really rip them off.

Nah I think it’s the case of Everton having no interest in selling him, they’d have sold him and tried to replace him. Selling him any closer to the end of the month and they’ll not find anyone to get.

It’s about selling to buying because we have a large squad still. Over 25 senior players… We have to get rid or we’ll be paying players to not play and that would be ridiculous.

Just like sky fours teams that pay players to sit on bench what’s the difference

They won’t sit on the bench, they’ll be in the reserves or doing nothing. Not being registered to play…

Michu link is promising. A goal scorer and link up player would help gel all the new kids.

Also lescott likely to come in if Richardson and Senderos go.

I read it on the SSN transfer news updates can’t remember what day but it said this quashed any hopes of VILLA signing him.

Thanks mate – not that I’m sure Lescott would be a good signing for us anyway.

a fully fit michu yes . but he is still getting over surgery and may never be back to what he was so just not worth the risk.

Seems that he claims he’s over it. Claimed it in like, April he was close to being fully fit again. First surgery went wrong and it seems his second corrected it, but yeah, ankle injuries are one of the hardest to ever get over.

nice to see gil , grealish and adama all play for the under 21s with grealish scoring the winner. should all be back in the first team squad soon enough.
we are being linked with Nicolai Boilesen from ajax again , maybe a replacement for richardson if he goes to sunderland.

Yes, saw the same link to Boilesen as last week just re-appeared this morning. No idea though what sort of fee he’d be likely to cost.

I reckon the lad from Wolves would be the perfect signing. Him and Gestede battling for the central role. Both banged in the goals last season and would be good target men with the likes of Grealish, Gil, Traore and Ayew in and around them.

Getting rid of Sendeross and Richardson would be excellent business. Sherwood is definitely better at wheeling and dealng than his predecessors!

If Senderos goes, great, another oldie who’s not played much off the payroll; Richardson I’m not too fussed either way.

Just a shame that we’ve still got Cole, N’Zog and Agbonlahor hanging around, especially since nobody else is likely to come in for them even on a ‘free’…

Why anyone would want to add Lescott to that list is beyond me; 5 or 6 years ago he’d have been great for us, but now?

I agree Cole and Nzog would be good to get off the payroll too….i just dont know who would buy Gabby? Sunderland might be daft enough!!
