Significant Share Movement at Villa

The document is not on Companies House yet but I have got from another source a very significant share allocation document.

Remember I posted a couple of weeks ago RAL (Reform Acquisitions Limited) who owns Villa had lifted the restrictions on the number of shares to be held.

Well an Allotment of Shares document was posted on the 18/12/13 showing that £90million of shares had been allotted. This took the total shares at Villa to £223 million and thus above the original £200M that we did have.

You ask – so what ??

Well previously when shares had been allotted this was in effect money put into the club usually by randy in swapping debt for shares at usually £5M a go. This is £90 MILLION we are talking about and if this is the same as before would wipe out a large chunk of the debt in one go.

Or it could be investment into the club ….

As I suggested when we saw the share lift that was more than just tidying up the books, it allowed for this move ……

Either way this is good news –

If wiping off a large % of the debt then wages can be increased

If it is an investor then it means more money

If we get stuffed by Arsenal we will panic buy if we win Lambert / Lerner will think we can get to the end of the season with the squad we have.

Well Villa is estimated at 200 million plus on today’s market. I would think he would aim for that type of money.

Having said that with the China investment into Birmingham being talked about that might open a few doors for Villa.

If only Red Bull were interested in Villa and bid, we can all dream. Get some pride back in the club, would happily be behind Red Bull Villa, would love to see a team and club that doesn’t bring shame and embarrassment on itself on a weekly basis.

The last thing I want to see is a company like Red Bull buying the Villa. Can you imagine, potential stadium name change and team name change to incorporate the brand! Would be the sad sad days for our club.

And on the other hand, we’d have a great team, the backing of a successful worldwide brand and a fresh approach. And best of all, no mumbling Lamberk and no unambitious Lerner, that itself would be cause for mass celebration.

don’t get me wrong belcs, the reasons you mentioned are great! If branding was litmited to shirt and placards I’d be all for it. A bit wary is all with huge brands like that. 100% ownership and they can do what they want with Villa for their own business purposes.

two months ago everyone was saying no way but after the recent run of results its starting to look attractive. i’m not saying that the latest form is deliberate or anything just so we accept red bull more easily

180M (if correct) is pretty low, especially given the amount money Lerner has put in – plus inflation over the years. Plus, with the increase in tv revenue and overall interest in the EPL worldwide, any owner would be a fool to accept such an offer. The league is completely different from when he first took over.

As for Red Bulls, I think it would a travesty for the club, league, and game if they had taken over. To be honest, anyone wishing they did take over is better off supporting another team, because that is ultimately what we would all be doing if they had – Red Bull Villa. What a joke.

I could handle Aston Villa Red Bulls and a claret/blue kit with their logo on but thats it. Going white and red and a stadium name change would royally suck.

What if they changed the name “Red Bull” to “Aston Villa” and changed all their branding to claret and blue. I reckon Aston Villa Team F1 has a certain ring to it.

Blimey, I’d rather trust my 3yo grandaughter’s opinion than something that came off Facebook.

Who would be high up enough to know about this and stupid enough to open their trap about it?

    Load of bollox, imo.

Badger, this whole thread is a bag of bollocks.

Some of the numpties on here commenting on an equity/debt swap defies belief.

Quite horrified at how readily many will sell their soul in the hope of a better side.

A fantastic present I received over Christmas was a hardback book of newspaper headlines regarding the Villa over the years. Look back over that, learn a little, remember a bit, and then say you’re happy to flog us off to a corporate brand in the hope of seeing a few better players.

Or Randy is simply getting some of his money back and an investor is purely buying shares.. doesnt mean we will see any of it at an operating level !! Dont need it anyway weve just bought Grant Holt !! when we beat Arsenal they buy Ozil…… we go an trump that when they beat us!
