If these links have some weight then LERNER obviously won’t be parting with a lot of money yet again this window.

Course he won’t he only needs to spend 10m that’s it. That’s all Sherwood will get

      Hmm, strange, Langford.
      I don’t know what’s happened there.
Never mind, you get to read it twice 🙂

I’ll tell you what, I’ll knock another post up on another subject which I’d like to discuss.
I’ll leave it a few hours though, so this one gets a fair run.

Really hoping that Chelsea lose today so that they have to go all out against Leicester on Wednesday. Also hoping the bin dippers can beat Hull on Tuesday. Everton coming into form just at the wrong time for us, but hey…..we fear NOBODY!

    Post scheduled for this evening.

I really don’t think we need to rely on other games as such, but yes, those sort of results would definitely help.
Fwiw, my personal biggest fear is Burnley on the last day, if things go totally against us beforehand.

Just noticed that Bertrand is in the PFA Team of the year. Such a shame that we didnt buy him IMO! He’s been outstanding at Southampton and he’s just the type of LB we need. We always seem to get one or the other of ‘cant defend or cant attack’. We really need to sort the LB in the summer!

LB is certainly a bigger priority over the mids, although we need better there too, imo.
Cissokho seems our current best bet, but Sherwood doesn’t seem in any rush to get him back in?
    Hmm.

I think now senderos nd cissoko are fit sherwood needs to take a good a the defence including Guzan. in the last 4 league games we have conceded 3 goals in 3 of the games.
I think we need as much experience at the back as we can and then let our in form midfield and attack run riot.
2 or 3 clean sheets in the run in and we will be safe.

Steve, Cissokho for Richardson is a no-brainer for me.
But perhaps I’m going too far in questioning why he isn’t playing and it’s just that the coaches/Sherwood doesn’t think he has a full game in him yet?

I don’t know about Sendoros though.
He can read a game and is a decent defender, but is as slow as toast these days.

agree but our brief good start to the seaon was all down to the back four.
      Hutton senderos vlaar cissoko.
3 block outs in the first four games.
      then they started getting crocks.

Richardson is chosen simply because he is a better attacker than Cissokho IMO. Also noticed that Gil wasnt even in the squad yesterday. Somethings not quite right there although I do agree that he’s not suited to a relegation battle. Moreover, he would probably be in place of Grealish who deserves his place. Cissokho needs to start against Everton as they are really pacey on the flanks and I cant see Richardson coping with it!

Crikey! Everton gave Man Ure a tumping! And I thought they’d have gone on holiday already having nothing left to play for!

This worries, me is there a personality thing going on there? he may not be suited for a relegation battle but by that token, half our team aren’t. also he would not have to replace Grealish, he can do what Nzogbia does and was doing it a whole lot better before Sherwood came in.
I fear for Gil, that he said something, did something that pissed off Sherwood, and its curtains now.
bear in mind that I am guessing, I have nothing to support this other than observation and the squad selection over the last 10 games

I’m baffled too. However, he didnt play that much for his previous clubs. Is there an attitude problem?….like you just guessing as he his clearly good enough to get on the bench at the very least IMO!

off topic, and this is a total Landan meeja love in innit? .. but this will help, this is what mourinho does with contrary controversy, deflects from the team and individuals,

I do have a question, why do people claim Gil’s not suited to a relegation battle? Gil helped Elche get promoted and helped them stay up by a total of 1 point last season. Gil’s been in a relegation battle and helped them stay up, so I don’t get how he’s not suited for one. It got him 8 appearances at Valencia so clearly did well during that relegation battle.
