News? What news?

I’ve got to be honest, there’s nothing really going on, is there?
It’s mainly more about players leaving than coming in and the truth is it makes sense that we get rid of the over-paid and under-used players like N’zog and Gabby.

Sendoros is another good example and while I don’t recall what he was being paid, you can bet your boots it’s been a fortune while he hasn’t even had a squad number.
Just another classic case of how the Villa seem to get everything wrong over the last few years.

Not that I blame the player.
He seemed to perform to a fair level and was perfectly within his rights to stay and take the money, but I note his contract was terminated via mutual agreement.
I wonder what that cost us? as you can bet it wouldn’t have been for free.

We’re apparently still in for the goalie and are trying a second appeal to the FA, if I read the story correctly (my eyes gloss over at any story that involves us buying players, if I’m honest).
Which all smacks of the club trying to look like it’s doing it’s best, but ultimately knowing it’s bound to fail.
No doubt Deadly’s advising on this front, as he’s the grandmaster at that game, isn’t he?

There are other stories about how we’re going to splash the cash, but we all know it isn’t going to happen and at best we might get a couple of lesser names in, just to make it look good. Which is all well and good, but will they actually improve the squad? I doubt it.

And then there’s assistant manager Peter Grant under Mcleish’s tenure calling us fans “delusional”.
To which I’d just say “Who?”
Clear off you mug.
We don’t need anyone who was partly responsible for some of the worst football I’ve ever seen commenting on us fans.
What a nerve!

And anyway, I don’t believe we are delusional.
Unless expecting a club of our size and standing, to be better than relegation material is classed as such.

from a players point of view why would anyone want to join the villa in the position we are in.
gabby and zzobia will not get better deals anywhere than what they have.
I think Garde is going to have a better chance to rebuild when we are finally (6 years coming) relegated.
Hollis comes out and said the club wasted £60 yet the people responsible (Fox etc) are still in a job.

Steve its bad management and a clueless board with no footballing intelligence, that have got us in this mess, and they are all still here…. They do not know how to get us out of this mess and they will be of no use next season either !

Gestede if any money was wasted Sherwoods gem we never replaced benteke,REMI should of been installed after 4/5 losses in a row I do believe we wouldn’t be in this predicament.some of the acquisitions over the summer weren’t that bad. The chairman knows FUCKall about running a footy club the management team Inc scouts should of had the bullet ages ago.

Sorry to burst your bubble garde is nothing but a puppet for ,no other manager had such a bad start, stuck with guzan Richardson rudi when Stevie Wonder knew they where crap, until fans told them home truths at Wycombe was a bit of a lift in players, how many matches where we drawing remi didn’t try anything different to try and win them, now remi has the balls to come out and say Gabby can score goals(I ll have what he s smoking) remi is fox puppet and come end of season expect remi to take pay off and then fox will go and get another puppet and while fox ,Hollis Reilly alstad and Lerner stay we will be scrapping around bottom championship next season

MATE I was never in a bubble in the first place I was just commenting on hollis’s quote about wasting money.remember REMIs working with tools other people purchased & unfortunately he’s got to make do with what he’s got I can’t see him hanging around & personally don’t blame him.whoever comes in must work on a tiny budget so if you class that as a puppet then so be it.I’m sure there’ll be many more puppets to take his position in the future because they’ll have FUCKall money to work with.

If there is a bubble then the club’s in it because the fans are not. Ok all the lower teams have made a move to try and stop the drop, we decided at the last window that we will not purchase, and I will gamble we won’t at the next window. Villa inside machine been crap for 20 years but they dont bother to fix it. It’s going to take the fans to do something over the next 12 months.

Wasn’t REMI told that funds would be made available to him this window?? if my memories correct he was,not his fault he’s working for a pack of bullshiters.

Iv a brilliant idea why don’t we get Sheik Mansoor on a loan deal till the end of the summer and we can then get rid of Lerner by mutual consent. What do you think?

JVillan – think you’re being harsh on the managers insofar as each probably thought they could instigate change (except probably McLeish) but discovered that they were dealing with fools. Not a lot you can do if your boss and owner of the company is a prize ………. (Fill in the blanks).

So if we discuss managers we should consider whether or not in other circumstances they would have succeeded and in that I find I have a degree of sympathy with your argument other than Garde. Given the situation he walked into then raising the Titanic would probably be an easier task. I’m prepared to give him time as he doesn’t strike me as being anybody’s puppet.

If he agreed them terms he is a puppet like all rest before him Sherwood Lambert McLeish
And yes a line of puppet will want the job and say they can do it,no point though remi looking for support from fans if he another stooge rain down the abuse on him

not sure why you are insisting on the Puppet label, he was hired, he has goals set by his employers, they do pay his wages, unless you think he should do whatever the fu** he wants still expect to keep his job? your definition of puppet is doing what you were hired to do?
      well then fellow puppet ..

    Look at Lambert
Signing Graham for Blackburn says it all about his ability
    Playing Bowery over bent
Releasing albrighton yet spent 5 m on helnius, tonev plus wages
Cole sendross Richardson on 75/90 thousand a week not 30 starts between them two had to be paid to leave villa

If you read my response I’m pretty much agreeing with your view about the mangers ability albeit not following your line of thinking. Your only point I really disagree with is, is over Garde where I believe the ‘jury is still out’

Does anyone else hate how Remi Garde seems to be spouting shit to the media nearly every day!!.. it’s now Gabby he’s banging on about saying he will get goals or something.. yea something he has never done his whole career and suddenly in this moment of adversity he’s going to come good!!

It’s all a load of bull Andrew. We are signing nobody. That goalkeeping saga is a joke the club surely must of known he could not join us as he only had 2 caps. It’s a complete con for benefit of fans to look like they are trying to sign someone!

Andrew, the title was supposed to reflect my view that nothing’s happening or has indeed happened.
While I’ve never been keen on rumours, as you probably know, I just find them even more laughable lately.
Especially any that say we’re going to splash the cash, as they’re frankly embarrassing, imo.

That said, many people do like to see the rumours, so carry on putting them up mate.
