Notice the form of the words, ‘until the club is sold’ … that is very short term isn’t it, not even an indication he will be here for pre season.
Did you really think that Lerner would spend his money on sacking him ?
Did you really expect Lambert to walk with no compensation ?
This situation is in many ways comparable to 2006 but no chance that Lerner is stupid enough to sack Lambert now. This does not mean that the club will not be sold, in fact quite the opposite. At no point the club are saying any deal is a way off, so just chill and relax. If by the middle of June we are not taken over then agreed,

I have to mention here the forum names as TBAR. If you know of them they are just being total fools. In the form incarnation I posted ITK but always made clear it was and never to presume it would happen. Over on that forum they are saying it is all gospel and dragged a lot of sensible people into their web.

I would like to speak about TBAR
I posted a statement that I believed that their 2 celebrity ITK’s did not really know anything, that they were in the dark as much as anyone and that I was of the view that the club was somewhat stringing us all along.
I don’t believe that that what I wrote was libellous, nor was it an attack on anyone’s character, defamation of name or attempt to misrepresent the truth but my post was deleted! Why? I am of the view that the so-called ITK’s are merely using that forum as homage to themselves, pulling the wool over everyone’s eye, using smoke and mirrors to create a facade and they know EXACTLY what they are doing.
We the villa faithful want hope in the midst of despair, darkness, an appalling manager, a less than clever Chief Exec and an owner who no longer cares anything about our club. So these so called ITK’s have played on our vulnerabilities, exploited our passion for the club, plucked on our heart strings knowing how we feel about Aston Villa and are stringing us along with these
Lambert has resigned
We believe the club is already sold
It is an American Billionaire
This or that manager will be coming in
These players will be at the club
We will challenge for top 6
Etc
And make no mistake certain sections of the media are playing piped piper for the club’s spin machine

We have had to set a system in place where you have to have your first comment cleared, before you can post freely, because of a particularly malicious poster who posted in various guises specifically just to say how much he hated the site.
He was basically ruining any debate and added nothing.

Not that we’re really into slating other sites. We take the view that all Villa sites are on the same side, even though we might have different ways of looking at things.
To clarify, my post that was deleted was not on this site but on TBAR. This site has always been a place for true Villa fans
