Only good thing is that’s Lambert’s talent-zone as a manager, the Championship (might be even pushing that).

im strating to think going down is what we deserve. even if we stay up it will be exactly the same next year whats the point. Id rather be a big fish in a small pond as at least we should finish top 6

Doubt it, this team has no bite at all. They’d get eaten alive.

Was always going to happen, playing 5 at the back, no consistency in the side, chopping and changing every week is always going to equal relegation!! Try a simple 442 for once, worked for sides for many years, keep it simple!

That was a truly disgusting performance. Fair play Palace, wanted it and got it!!

Lowton and Gabby are the worst Prem players ever, closely followed by Westwood and Clarke.

just looked at table 🙁 i think its villa or norwich going down with cardiff and sunderland / its depending on norwich, if norwich fluke a win,in their remaining 4 , we need a draw from last 5

we could well av a derby next year if brum can survive

With the amount of times West Bromich throw away points, they could easily go down themselves.

wev also got goal diff in our favour so effectively we are on 35 points. i dont give a toss anymore whether we stay up same old bollocks next season iv had enough of this shit.

West Bromich, Swansea, Hull and West Ham (11th – down all under 40 points still) have better GD’s than us. These last 4 losses have killed my confidence in goal diff saving us. I still don’t think we’ll go down as the talent still isn’t there in the EPL lower clubs, but we again should’ve been safe 3 months ago.

i think WBA will get another win maybe 2, norwich and us look dead, 33,1 for us was a extremely good price,i bet its slashed by half now. hull at home is our last chance to save ourselves, but our best chance probably is hoping norwich fail to win anymore

Just reading Lambert’s comments to the Brum Mail. Interesting comments there. It sounds like the worm may have turned. In the cold light of day, the main and complete and utter **** (self censorship there) is Lerner. Nobody could make a sucess of a club of our stature in conditions like this. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. And apart from three or four, we’ve got a shed load of primates. Not bad footballers on their day, but truthfully, not Premiership standard. That is why we are facing relegation for the third successive season. I’d donate a kidney to know O’Neils take on what went on behind the scenes. At a guess, Lerner put his plans on the table, MON saw what would happen and it’s all come to fruition.
Lerner, you are a cowardly, money grabbing destructive force who is killing our club. I despair at the day you were born.

totally agree word for word ~ players we have representing us, are miles below the standards required, easy to say the manager is 2 blame for buying um, but if your not given the backing in funds and wage funds its hard 2 attract premier class

It baffles me how fans claiming 45m (40m net spend) over 2 seasons isn’t enough to keep us up far more comfortable than this. It really, really baffles me. Worse than listening/reading Lambert’s typical comments.

Bullshit Andrew. If your wage cap is so low you get the value for money you ask for. Lambert has also intimated the sums paid for players are much below public perception. Yeah, teams are run on smaller budgets, but when you try to run a big club on a shoestring, you hack away at the belief of that side and diminish its worth. And that in turn brings down everything around the club. Few of us expect top four but where we are fucking sucks.

I’m sure Lambert would say they all came for free if it’d get fans to stop booing him.

“Former Villa midfielder, legend and top Villa fan Ian Taylor has just tweeted…

Sorry but that is shocking…. absolutely shocking. No excuses… #AVFC”

Perfectly sums it up. He’s spent more than enough, Shouldn’t be in said situation.

It will be interesting to see how many fans are taking up ST renewals. That’s what got mcleish the sack people refusing to renew until he went. Problem is we will only get another muppet!

            More Lambert comments:

“there are a lot worse teams than ourselves”

“I’ve told the lads not to get their heads down because they’ve got so much football to play, there are teams a lot worse than ourselves still in it.

We’ve got to go and win a game of football. You look at the table and it’s really congested and you have to go and win the next game.”

“We need more or less the same as before today’s game, you know you’ve got to get another result or so. Some results went for us, some went against us, but you’ve got to go into the next game and win it. You can’t let it fester.

“We have to stop the sequence of losing four games. That’s got to stop.”

All because Lambert only got 40m net spend instead of 100m… Maybe we’d be on 40-45 points then. Woohoo!
