Haven’t seen him play recently judging by what ive heard he fades abit as the game progresses.i did expect big things from him but for injury & change in gaffers his form is hard to judge.he does add that bit of experience in the team & knows the job he’s got to do.he certainly carn’t do any worse than some of the plonkers we’ve got.

He is without a doubt better than tonev and is much better for that position than weimann, he looks like he wants to fight for his contract and i tink under Lambert he will get it, the last thing we want is him leaving on a free and then finding the form he had under houllier with another team. Good luck mark hopefully he will kick start our season. UTV

Agree he’s better than tonev but costs us too much defensively just like bannan

We have 4 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders most games why should he or any other forward player have to defend? Its a rhetorical question as he shouldn’t hav to defend but our 3 midfielders play so narrow he has to come back to help and granted he isn’t good defensively but he isn’t a defender so don’t think he should be judged on that.

Because that’s the modern game wingers especially are expected to track back and help out full backs. If you watch a player like Suarez on Sunday there were times when he dropped deep between mid and defence to help out. Unfortunately are full backs are crap anyway lunar got hammered on Sunday.

Ya in a 4 4 2 but with 7 defenders on the pitch our 3 forwards should not have to worry too much about defending except maybe against da top teams, and suarez would very rarely be in a defensive area he might drop back to midfield every now and again but he mainly defends from the front which is much better imo, rooney comes very deep alright but usually when playing the number 10 role but still you can’t compare either to marc they are on a different level, all i expect from marc is to drive a few crosses into the box and hopefully do what he did with houllier and pop up at the back post for the odd goal, but i do get why you want him to be good defensively because our full backs are pretty poor.

Probably shouldn’t, but our fullbacks time and time again are doubled/tripled each and every time because they receive absolutely no help from the DM’s or wingers.

I would really like to see him succeed. He puts the effort in and plays in a positive manner. I agree with KerryVillan he is a better bet in that right side position than Weimann.

One thing marc can do that the rest of the team fail to understand is how to pass and move! Plus he sticks to the flanks which makes more space for the rest of the team should they decide to use it. For me personally he would be the first on the team sheet given how shit the rest of the squad is playing.
