Agree Giddy, but don’t like to see him being used as the scapegoat and hate figure that some would now have him. It’s not his fault he was offered a huge contract and this current situation is so much bigger than one player. Sell and wish him well I say. Thanks for the goals against Blues.

I can’t argue with that SEB but for a good while now he’s offered the team sod all,so I speak of the present & not the past.as for being made a scapegoat again he just don’t cut now like a good few others, like BWS mentioned being one of our higher earners he’s going to be targeted let’s say is he value for money my simple answer is NO.of course I wish him the best he has over the years (not recent) been a good ambassador to the club.

Who would want him though. He would struggle in the championship nowadays

Ps I think there’ll be a laundry list of players shown the door come January because sell to buy yet again.

Who we going to sell though no one will want our players. No point in buying if we are 10 plus points adrift anyway even Messi and Ronaldo wouldn’t save us

Being the clubs highest earner probably has more to do with this than his contribution in training and as with Marc Allbrighton (who McLeish ruined) will go onto prove his worth elsewhere.
It’s not the players it’s the club, it’s rotten from top to bottom.

Should have happened a while ago. I think his best bet is the MLS.

And if they did what would we get for him £1-3m at best. More likely he would go out on loan so at least get his wages saved

Leicester take a punt on him for a couple of mil, he bangs in 10, helps them to win the tittle and we get relegated.
        That is a nightmare scenario.

Can see him going to a team like QPR. Maybe even Stoke City honestly.

MLS is a possibility but League 1 down to the Conference is more the level where he might make an impact. He doesn’t need the money and his scandal value now is a negative to AVFC.

I still think he might have made a good LB. Lets face it – in the last and most embarrassing goal we let in, the scorer got off the deck and still outpaced both our full backs, Gabby if he was minded to do it, would have out run him.

AVFC are supposedly in a battle with Newcastle for PSG’s keeper Salvatore Sirigu.
Of course there is a little problem of £75k per week wages but high wages are not something to phase Randy so we can safely assume it’s a done deal.

Apparently Gabby is wanted by clubs out east and Sunderland and Stoke have been linked.
But I really don’t see anyone matching his current wages.
I really don’t think this will happen.

I can see either Sunderland or Stoke paying his wages, they are the types of teams that pay bigger wages to mediocre English players. Be surprised if he went out East.
